Notice of Election

Rural Municipality of Coldwell

Notice is hereby given that a vote of the R.M. of Coldwell will be taken to elect Reeve, Councillors and LUD Committee Members from the following duly nominated candidates:

For the office of Reeve: Elect 1

Sigfusson, Brian

Holm Jr., Lloyd

For the office of Councillor: Elect 4

Johnson, Virgil

Christensen, Oluf

Kostyshyn, Kent

Brown, Greg

Mills-Holm, Marnie

Scharf, Jim D.

Christensen, Mathew

For the office of LUD Committee Member: Elect 3

McLeod, Will

Runolfson, Irene

Valiquette, Deborah

Voting Place

Voting Place will be open for voting on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Lundar Community Hall.


Identification may be required before being allowed to vote. A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example – driver’s licence or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

Mobile Voting

A mobile voting station will be set up at the following health care facility on Election Day:

Lundar Personal Care Home, 97 1st St South between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm

Advance Voting

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, advance voting opportunities will be located at the following places:

Friday, October 12th, 2018 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm at Lundar Community Hall


Application to vote by sealed envelope

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, by e-mail or fax to the senior election official at:

Last day to apply to vote by sealed envelope is October 21st, 2018


Please Note: to vote by sealed envelope there is an application form, which must be accompanied by a legible copy of government issued photo identification.


A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.


A voter applying by mail, e-mail or fax will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
